How To Add Custom and Workshop Maps to Your CS2 Server

Load a Steam Workshop Map

Note:

Ensure your sv_setsteamaccount (GSLT) is valid; otherwise, the server cannot connect to the workshop to download maps.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Stop Your Server

3. Go to the CS2 Steam Workshop.

4. Click on a Map You Want To Add

5. Obtain the Workshop ID

Look at the URL in your browser. The number at the end is the Workshop ID.

6. Start Your Server

7. Select the ‘Console’ Tab

8. Execute the Command

Type: host_workshop_map [ID]

Action	Command	Example
Load Workshop Map	host_workshop_map [ID]	host_workshop_map 3070244401
Load Local Map	map [mapname]	map de_minecraft_b5
Change via RCON	rcon [command]	rcon host_workshop_map 3070244401
Restart Current Map	mp_restartgame 1	mp_restartgame 1

9. Click ‘Download’ In-Game

When you run the host_workshop_map command, the console will display “Downloading.” Do not restart the server during this process. Wait for the ChangeLevel notification.

CS2 automatically handles FastDL. When a player joins, their game will prompt them to download the map directly from the Steam Workshop.

Upload a Local Custom Map

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3. Upload Your Map File

In your files tab, navigate to the home/container/game/csgo/maps folder. There, upload your .vpk map file. If you get an error saying the file is too large, please refer to How to Connect to Pterodactyl via SFTP.

4. Set Your Map

Finally, in your startup tab, set the ‘MAP’ field to the name of your map. For example, if your map file was called Best-Map.vpk, then enter Best-Map in the field.

5. Restart Your Server

Find a Practice Map

Search for the following names in the CS2 Steam Workshop, then follow the Workshop ID steps above. Choose the entry you want and use its own ID; map titles and availability may change.

• INSTANT SMOKES EN MIRAGE
