How To Add Floating Boss Health Bars in Your Left 4 Dead 2 Server

Important!

You must have SourceMod and MetaMod installed on your server before following this guide. If you do not have them yet, check out our guides on installing them first.

1. Download the Infected Health Gauge Plugin

9. How the Plugin Works

Once installed, looking at or shooting a boss like a Tank will generate a dynamic, text-based health gauge floating directly on your screen near your crosshair. As seen in the screenshot, the plugin creates a visual bar made of symbols (where hash marks # represent remaining health and dashes - represent missing health), alongside the exact numerical hit points (for example, [20880 / 22680] Tank). As you deal damage, the bar shrinks and the numbers drop in real-time, letting your entire team perfectly track how close the boss is to.
