How To Fix “STEAM Auth Ticket Has Been Cancelled” Errors on Your Left 4 Dead 2 Server

1. Go to Steam Game Server Account Management Page

2. Enter the App ID

Scroll to the bottom where it says “Create a new game server account”. In the App ID box, type 550 (This is Steam’s specific internal code for Left 4 Dead 2).

3. Enter a Memo

In the Memo box, type a quick note like “My L4D2 Server” so you remember what this token is for if you check this page a year from now.

4. Copy the Login Token

5. Log In to Your Panel


6. Stop Your Server


7. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

9. Select the ‘cfg’ Folder

11. Add Your Token

Scroll to the very bottom of the file and type sv_setsteamaccount "" on a brand-new line. Paste your long token code directly between those quotation marks.

12. Save the Changes
