How To Enable or Disable Copy Paste Tool on Your Space Engineers Server

Important!

1. If you have already generated a world on your server, you may also need to apply this exact same change to your world save file, which is located at:
home/container/config/Saves/World/Sandbox_config.sbc

2. To fully utilize these tools in a survival world, you will need to ensure you are registered as a server admin. You can learn how to do this by reading our guide on How to Add an Admin to Your Space Engineers Server.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3. Selecr the ‘config’ Folder

4. Select the ‘SpaceEngineers-Dedicated.cfg‘ File

5. Toggle the Creative Tools

Scroll down the file until you locate the <EnableCopyPaste> setting. This is the primary tag that controls creative actions. By default, this is usually turned off to prevent players from instantly spawning large blueprints in a survival world.

To enable the creative tools, carefully delete the word false and replace it with true so the line looks exactly like this:

<EnableCopyPaste>true</EnableCopyPaste>

If you ever want to disable the tools again in the future, simply change it back to false. Ensure all letters are lowercase and there are no extra spaces.
