How To Disable Thruster Damage on Your Space Engineers Server

Note:

Thruster damage is a realistic game mechanic where the exhaust from a ship’s thrusters will burn and destroy any blocks placed directly behind them. You might want to disable this setting to allow for more compact ship designs or to prevent players from accidentally burning holes in their own landing pads.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3. Select the ‘config’ Folder

4. Select the ‘Saves’ Folder

5. Select the ‘World’ Folder

6. Inside the ‘World’ Folder, Selecr the ‘Sandbox_config.sbc‘ File

7. Toggle Thruster Damage

Scroll through the file or use Ctrl + F to find the <ThrusterDamage> tag.

To disable the mechanic, delete the word true and replace it with false so the line looks exactly like this:

<ThrusterDamage>false</ThrusterDamage>

Ensure all letters are lowercase and there are no extra spaces.
