How To Change Your Conan Exiles Server Name and Set a Password

Note:

When you first launch your Conan Exiles server, it generates with a default name. Customising your Server Name is an essential first step to building your community, making it easier for players to find your world in the massive in-game server browser. Additionally, setting a Server Password ensures that random players cannot join and disrupt your private survival experience.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the “Startup” Tab

3. Change Your Server Name

On the Startup Settings page, you will see a list of configuration variables. Locate the box labeled Server Name.

Delete the default text and type in your new custom identity.

4. Set a Server Password (Optional)

Just next to the Server Name box, locate the variable labeled Server Password.

Type in your desired password to make your server private. If you are hosting a public community and want anyone to be able to join, simply leave this box completely empty.
