How To Set the Number of Auto-Save Slots on Your V Rising Server

Set Save Slots in ServerHostSettings.json

Note:

The AutoSaveCount setting controls how many auto save files your V Rising server keeps; higher numbers mean more backups, but also more files stored. To change this, we’ll edit the ServerHostSettings.json file. This guide shows you how to adjust the AutoSaveCount for the perfect balance.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Stop Your Server

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

Scroll down the Sidebar until you find the Files Tab.

4. Locate the ‘ServerHostSettings.json‘ File

Navigate to: save-data/Settings/ServerHostSettings.json

It should look like this:

5. Locate the ‘AutoSaveCount’ File

Locate the following line:

6. Replace the Value of the Highlighted Setting Accordingly

“10“: Keeps the 10 most recent automatic saves.
“DECREASED”

OR

“50“: Keeps the 50 most recent automatic saves.
“DEFAULT”

OR

“100": Keeps the 100 most recent automatic saves.
“INCREASED”

7. Save the Newly Made Changes

Use the highlighted button to do so.

8. Restart Your Server and Game

Note:

The Auto Save Count setting in V Rising decides how many world saves your server keeps before old ones get overwritten. Crank up the value to stash away more backups, or knock it down to preserve space. So, it’s all about balancing backup needs and storage limits, really.

Scroll down the sidebar and select the Startup tab.

4. Locate the ‘Auto Save Count‘ Setting

Scroll down until you find the Auto Save Count setting.

5. Replace the Value of the Highlighted Setting Accordingly
