How To Configure the Message of the Day on a Conan Exiles Server

Note:

The Message of the Day (MOTD) is a fantastic way to welcome players, share your Discord link, announce server rules, or provide updates on upcoming events. This message will pop up on the screen for every player as soon as they log into your server. You can easily set or change this message through your server’s configuration file.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3. Select the ‘ConanSandbox’ Folder

4. Select the ‘Saved’ Folder

5. Select the ‘Config’ Folder

6. Select the ‘WindowsServer’ Folder

7. Select the ‘ServerSettings.ini‘ File

8. Set Your Message

Look for the line that begins with ServerMessageOfTheDay=. Type your desired welcome message immediately after the equals sign.

Note: If this line does not exist, simply create a new line directly underneath the [ServerSettings] header and type ServerMessageOfTheDay= followed by your message

(for example: ServerMessageOfTheDay=Welcome to our server! Please join our Discord and read the rules.)

9. Save the Changes

10. Restart Your Server
