How to Enable Secure Mode on Your V Rising Server via ServerHostSettings.json

1. Log in to Your Panel


2. Select Your VRising Server

You can do so by clicking the “Manage server” option, which will open the dashboard by default.

3. Stop Your Server

4. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

Scroll down the Sidebar until you find the Files Tab.

5. Locate the ‘save-data’ File

Proceed to open it.

6. Locate the ‘Settings’ File

Proceed to open it.

7. Locate the ‘ServerHostSettings.json’ File

Proceed to open it.

It should look like this:

8. Locate the Phrase Highlighted Below in the ‘ServerGameSettings.json’ File

Locate the “Secure” within the file.

9. Replace the Values of the Highlighted Phrase Below Accordingly

“true”: Enables Secure Mode and allows Steam authentication checks for connecting players. (Recommended)

OR

“false”: Disables Secure Mode and bypasses Steam authentication checks. This should generally only be used for testing purposes.

10. Save the Newly Made Changes

Use the highlighted button to do so.

11. Restart Your Server and Game
