How to Adjust Crafting Costs on Your V Rising Server

Note:

The cost of crafting affects how much resources will be used when crafting items using stations such as Furnace, Sawmill, and Workbench. Higher numbers mean that more resources will be needed for crafting, whereas smaller numbers mean fewer resources will be needed. Here, we will change the RecipeCostModifier number in the ServerGameSettings.json file.

1. Log in to Your Panel

2. Select Your VRising Server

You can do so by clicking the “Manage server” option, which will open the dashboard by default.

3. Stop Your Server

4. Select the ‘Files‘ Tab

Scroll down the Sidebar until you find the Files Tab.

5. Locate the ‘VRisingServer_Data’ File

Proceed to open it.

6. Locate the ‘StreamingAssets’ File

Proceed to open it.

7. Locate the ‘Settings’ File

Proceed to open it.

8. Locate the ‘ServerGameSettings.json’ File

Proceed to open it.

It should look like this:

9. Locate the Phrase Highlighted Below in the ‘ServerGameSettings.json’ File

Locate RecipeCostModifier inside the file:”

RecipeCostModifier value in ServerGameSettings.json.

10. Replace the Values of the Highlighted Phrase Below Accordingly

“0.25”: Reduces crafting costs to 25% of their default values, significantly lowering the resources required for crafting.

Modified RecipeCostModifier value to 0.25 in ServerGameSettings.json.

OR

“0.5”: Reduces crafting costs by 50%, requiring fewer materials to craft items.

Modified RecipeCostModifier value to 0.5 in ServerGameSettings.json.

OR

“0.75”: Slightly reduces crafting costs while maintaining a balanced progression experience.

Modified RecipeCostModifier value to 0.75 in ServerGameSettings.json.

“1.0”: Default crafting costs used in standard V Rising servers.

11. Save the Newly Made Changes

Use the highlighted button to do so.

12. Restart Your Server and Game

13. Launch V Rising and Select Play

Open V Rising and select Play.

14. Select Online Play

Choose Online Play.

15. Select Show All Servers

16. Open the ‘Direct Connect’ Menu

Select the Direct Connect option from the server browser.

17. Enter Your Server Address and Server Port

Enter the server IP address and server port.

18. Connect to Your Server

Select the Connect button and wait for the connection process to complete.

19. Verify the Changes In-Game

RecipeCostModifier: “0.25”
