How To Configure Structure Damage Settings on Your Conan Exiles Server

Note:

While the decay system is essential for public servers to manage performance and free up land, it might be more of a hindrance if you are running a private server for a small group of friends or a dedicated roleplaying community. In these environments, you might want to build massive, persistent cities or monumental castles that stand forever, regardless of how often their creators log in to the game.

The StructureDamageMultiplier setting dictates how much damage player-built walls, foundations, and placeables take when attacked. Changing this multiplier scales the incoming damage up or down, allowing you to fine-tune the difficulty of siege warfare or disable base destruction entirely.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ tab

3. Navigate to ‘ServerSettings.ini‘ File

File Path: home > container > ConanSandbox > SavedConfig > WindowsServer

4. Configure Structure Damage Settings

Look for the line StructureDamageMultiplier=1.0. Change the value to fit your server’s specific ruleset.

1.0 (Default): Normal structure damage as intended by the base game.

0.5: Structures take 50% less damage, making them twice as hard to destroy during a raid.

0.0: Structures take absolutely zero damage and are completely invulnerable.

Note: If you cannot find this exact line in your configuration file, you can easily add it yourself. Create a new line directly underneath the [ServerSettings] header and type it in exactly as StructureDamageMultiplier=1.0 (replacing the number with your desired multiplier).
