How To Enable Coordinates on Your Minecraft Server

1. Join Your Server

First, launch Minecraft and log in to your server. If you need help, see How To Join Your Vanilla Minecraft Server.


2a. Press F3 On Your Keyboard (Windows)

If you are on Windows, press the F3 key on your keyboard. Now, you should see a bunch of text all over your screen.

2b. Press Fn + F3 On Your Keyboard (Mac)

If you are on a Mac-based system, press and hold the Fn key and press the F3 key. Now, you should see a bunch of text all over your screen.

3. Locate The Coordinates Section

In the F3 menu, you’ll see a section labeled ‘XYZ’ in the top left corner. This displays three numbers:

X: Your position east (+) or west (–) on the map (longitude).

Y: Your vertical position or height (altitude) — higher numbers mean you’re higher up.

Z: Your position south (+) or north (–) on the map (latitude).
