How To Ban/Unban Someone On A Rust Server

1. Log in to Your Panel


2. Select the ‘Console’ Tab

3. Ban Users

Enter the following command in the console field, replacing <SteamID> and <username> with the player’s actual information. If you don’t know the user Steam ID, check out our How to Find a Rust User’s SteamID guide.

ban “SteamID/Username” “Reason”

(replace SteamID/Username with the player’s info and Reason with why you’re banning them).

Example: banid 76561198169700922 "Cheating"


4. Unban Users

Enter the following command in the console field, replacing <SteamID> and <username> with the player’s actual information:

unban [SteamID]

You can only unban a player through their SteamID.


5. Check Your Banlist

Enter the banlistex command.

This command shows all banned players and the reason they were banned (if one was given).

6. Optional: Using In-Game Ban/Unban Commands

Open the Rust console in-game (press F1).

Use the same commands, replacing <SteamID> and <username> with the player’s actual information:

ban “SteamID/Username” “Reason”
unban [SteamID]
banlistex
