How To Install and Configure Valheim Simple Auto Sort on Your Server

Note:

Valheim Simple Auto Sort allows players to deposit inventory items into nearby chests with a single keypress. For dedicated multiplayer servers running BepInEx, installing the mod on both the server and connecting player clients ensures smooth network inventory synchronization and prevents container lock desync.

1. Download the Valheim Simple Auto Sort Mod

2. Extract the Valheim Simple Auto Sort

3. Log In to Your Panel

6. Select the ‘File’ Tab

10. Restart Your Server

11. Head to the BepInEx Folder and Select the ‘Config’ Folder

12. If the Mod Was Installed Properly, You Should See a File Named ‘ch.elusia.plugins.valheim.autosort.cfg’

13. Configure Auto-Sort Trigger Hotkey and Search Distance

This section controls the primary hotkey pressed by players and the scanning radius for nearby containers:

These parameters govern whether chests accept items when multiple types exist and how many stacks move per keypress:

15. Customize the Auto-Sort Item Whitelist

The ItemsToSort parameter defines every item type the mod is permitted to move from player inventories into chests:
